Truecaller works auto-update of blocklist in iOS?

In this post, we talk about how Truecaller works auto-update of blocklist in iOS? As per Robocallers and Spam callers continually change their phone numbers to avoid caught easily. To block them and assure that you have a better experience. Also, we update the block list in the app already every day. Although, Truecaller will try to update the blocklist automatically. If you use that it is not happening, here are a few things you can check and know about how Truecaller works auto-update of blocklist in iOS?

  • Firstly, Check if you bought Truecaller Premium. Then Auto-update of the blocklist is a Prime feature. A non-premium user needs to manually start the app and update the block list daily.
  • Secondly, Check if you allowed Truecaller to send you notification warning messages.
  • Thirdly, Do not make stop Truecaller. If you make stop the app by dual pressing the home button and swiping up on the app. Then iOS blocks background updates from appearing till you reuse the app.

If you allowed sending notifications to Truecaller. The app will inform you if it’s not able to update in more than 24 hours. Then open the app by clicking on the notification and it will instantly update its block list.

Is Spam calls are not identify or block?

Truecaller has two types of blocklists. And also it is only likely to block one of them. That spam calls with weaker spam scores will most likely not reflected on the screen. Also, they would not include it in the top spam list (self create) base on the country and region.

These are the two spam lists:-

1.) Activate Top spammers:

  • Firstly, Open Truecaller.
  • Secondly, click on the view profile on the top left.
  • Thirdly, go on Settings.
  •  And click on ‘Top spammers’ and select it. And contact named ‘Spam’ will create in your contact list. Your screen will blink in red when a number in that list is calling.

2.) The Call-Kit list you activate in Call Blocking & identification’ settings:-

  • Firstly, Go to your mobile Settings.
  • Secondly, Click on the Phone.
  • Thirdly, click on the Call Blocking & Identification and toggle on Truecaller. Although the list cannot block like the Spam call.
